I've taken this calculator down while I verify the numbers behind it.

Belt tension is quoted almost everywhere as a target frequency in Hz — but the frequency you measure depends entirely on the length of belt span you pluck, and most published targets don't say what span they assume. When I went looking for a source I could stand behind, the references I found disagreed with each other by a factor of three, and I couldn't reconcile them against a measured belt.

Rather than leave a tool up that might tell you to over-tension your belts, it's off until I've measured it myself and can show my work.
